Daniel Pape, born 06.08.1981
After training as a chef, Daniel Pape began his career at the renowned four-star Seehotel Töpferhaus, where he gained his first insights into Portuguese-Brazilian cuisine. This was followed by formative stations, including as Demichef de Partie at the multi-award-winning Restaurant Meierei in Glücksburg (two Michelin stars, three Gault&Millau toques).
Over the course of his career, he has cooked in some of the best kitchens in Germany - including Christian Jürgens' Restaurant Überfahrt, Joachim Wissler's Vendôme and Thomas Bühner's La Vie, which was awarded three Michelin stars.
In 2016, Daniel Pape took over the management of the Da Vinci restaurant in Koblenz as Chef de Cuisine. Under his leadership, the restaurant was awarded one Michelin star and 15 points in Gault&Millau.
Since May 2023, Daniel Pape has been enriching the Boutique Hotel Residenz Winkler as Executive Chef with his expertise and passion for fine cuisine. He has overall culinary responsibility for both restaurants in the hotel - in particular, as head chef, he is responsible for shaping the fine dining concept of our Restaurant Epicures.
