Daniel Pape
Culinary career
Daniel Pape, born 06.08.1981
after his apprenticeship as a chef, Mr. Pape started in the four-star Seehotel Töpferhaus with a Portuguese - Brazilian cuisine. In Glücksburg, he took over the position of demichef de partie at the Meierei restaurant, which was awarded two Michelin stars and three Gault Millau toques. Daniel has also cooked in the Überfahrt restaurant with Christian Jürgens, in the Vendome with Joachim Wissler and in La Vie with Thomas Bühner. The latter was awarded three Michelin stars. In 2016, Mr Pape became Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Da Vinci. This was awarded a Michelin star and 15 points Gault Millau, among others. At the beginning of May 2023, Mr Pape started as Executive Chef at our Heinz Winkler Residence.
Daniel Pape and Stefan Barnhusen met in 2009 at Restaurant Überfahrt and are now combining their experience after 14 years to refine the taste, style of our dishes and create new creations. They will set new culinary highlights and link them to the great achievements left behind by Heinz Winkler's legacy.
Stefan Barnhusen
Culinary career
Stefan Barnhusen, born on 01.03.1988
successfully completed his training as a chef in June 2007. He looks back on stations such as the Überfahrt Restaurant with Christian Jürgens, the Bareiss with Claus-Peter Lumpp and the Klaus Erfort Guest House with Klaus Erfort. At the latter, he started in the position of sous chef, which was awarded 19.5 points in the Gault Millau and 3 Michelin stars at the time. Mr Barnhusen started as Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Jellyfish in May 2019, which was awarded one Michelin star. Likewise, he received second place as Rising Star of the Year by "Der Feinschmecker". At the end of 2019, he started the position as Chef de Cuisine at Mountain Hub Gourmet in Munich. There, he not only cooked dishes of the finest kind, but was also responsible for conceptualising and planning the entire kitchen, as well as the gourmet restaurant. He not only earned a Michelin star, but also 3 Gault Millau toques and 8 "Gusto" pans. In May 2023, he moved to our Heinz Winkler Residence in Aschau, where Stefan Barnhusen occupies the position of Executive Chef.
